GETTING HERE AND OTHER INFO


The Purple Onion is located in San Francisco's North Beach district near the intersection of Columbus and Kearny at 140 Columbus Ave. It is within walking distance of many popular North Beach destinations as well as many public transit options.



If you are driving there are multiple parking lots around the Purple Onion, specifically California Parking at 555 Jackson St., and Imperial Parking at 425 Broadway. MUNI Bus lines that run nearby include the 12, 9, 10, 30, and 45 and the closest BART access is the Montgomery BART station at Market and Montgomery.

Advance purchase of tickets is highly recommended as seating is limited and all shows are general admission. Please arrive early for the best choice of seats! Doors open at 7:30pm.

ABOUT THE PURPLE ONION

The Purple Onion is one of the most historic comedy venues in America, and has frequently been voted the Best Comedy Club in San Francisco. The Smothers Brothers recorded their ground-breaking debut album here in 1961, and Zach Galifianakis filmed his popular dvd here in 2005.
